PROGRESS Wrestling can confirm that at Chapter 182: Stay Humble, Rayne Leverkusen will challenge reigning Women’s World Champion Rhio in what promises to be one of the most intense and competitive title matches of 2025.
Rhio’s at Super Strong Style 16 was nothing short of dominant, besting Nina Samuels for the gold and personally announcing a women’s SSS16. She delivered a standout performance on Day One, defeating Nina Samuels in a critically acclaimed main event. After taking up guest commentary at Chapter 181, Rhio delivered a powerful backstage message to the women’s division:
“Nina and Kanji is done for me. I don’t want to be that anymore. I’ve said it time and time again – this division is the best in Europe… the best in the world. But for us to keep saying that, we need to back it up.”
Her words weren’t just a rallying cry, they were a mission statement. Rhio made it clear: as champion, she’s raising the bar for everyone. Rookies, veterans, former champions, no one is safe from the scrutiny of a titleholder committed to legacy and excellence.
“I’m keeping an eye on everyone coming through the door of PROGRESS. We have a responsibility, we have a status and we need to uphold it. I can’t do that on my own. So who’s next? Who’s going to step up? Let’s get it.”
The first to step up was Rayne Leverkusen.
At Chapter 177, Rayne earned the #1 contender spot in a gruelling four-way battle, only to be coaxed by then-champion Nina Samuels into an immediate title match – one that ended in heartbreak for the exhausted Leverkusen. But this time, she’s had time to prepare. No mind games. No manipulation. Just a straight-up shot at glory.
Rayne now has the chance to prove herself not just as a contender, but as one of the best in Europe, taking on the very leader of the division. This one is going to go HARD.
