Phase two of the most exciting and unpredictable tournament in the history of combat sports comes to you live August 23 live from the Rotterdam Ahoy in the Netherlands.
It is now confirmed that sixteen heavyweights – including Levi Rigters, Jamal Ben Saddik, Nabil Khachab, & Rade Opacic – will take part in the next phase starting with eight epic head-to-head battles at GLORY 103. The eight winners will then form two four-man one-night tournaments at an upcoming event, the winners of both four-man tournaments will the book their spots in the end of year grand finale.
Two wildcard spots for the finale in December have now been added. These have been reserved for any participants who either impressed during the course of the whole tournament, returning stars who were previously unavailable, or decided by special superfights.
In order keep pushing boundaries and further showcase the unpredictable nature of the Last Heavyweight Standing, GLORY fans will now get their opportunity to let their voices be heard on who should square-off in the opening round.
“The Last Heavyweight Standing has been one of the most engaging event series in GLORY history,” said Marshall Zelaznik, GLORY CEO. “We are constantly looking for ways to be innovative and giving our fans a voice in letting us know what and who they want to see in the GLORY ring. So now I am thrilled that they have this opportunity in letting us know who they want to see fight at GLORY 103.”
Fans can register to vote now here, where they can play GLORY matchmaker and give their choices on who should face who on August 23.
The first fighter to vote on will be Levi Rigters, and fan voting will commence Friday, July 11 at 9am CET. Afterwards, people who registered will be contacted directly to vote on each subsequent fighter.
