Tonight’s Dynamite is the first after what many are calling the best AEW PPV in a couple years, and it’s hard to disagree! Hangman Page and Mercedes Mone have ascended to claim the Owen Hart Cups and qualify for World Championship matches at All In: Texas in July! Anarchy in the Arena delivered on the reputation for eloquent chaos that the match has built over the years! Kyle Fletcher may have put himself next in line for a TNT Championship match by winning the trios match against The Paragon for his team, and Ricochet managed to put Mark Briscoe in an ambulance. What’s next? Let’s find out!
Dynamite opens with Tony Schiavone welcoming Hangman Page to the ring. He congratulates Hangman on his win, then cedes him the mic. Hangman says triumph is fleeting, but so is defeat. He says he’s lost sight of the latter for three years, but now he remembers that it’s not the win or the loss, it’s what you do with it that matters. He thanks Ospreay for helping him find himself again, and says Ospreay can carry the company forward. He says that this victory too is fleeting, and to recognize it he hands the Owen Hart belt back to Tony Schiavone because it was only his for one night, and how it’s about the AEW World Championship. He says the championship has always been his goal, but it’s been hidden away in a briefcase for seven months, which is not what it was supposed to do. He then promises to win the AEW World Championship at All In.
Swerve then hits the ring. To explain his presence, he shows the clip of the Bucks saying that they screwed Swerve for Hangman. He says he had the match won at Dynasty. He says Hangman was there that night too, and he suspects collusion, especially since Hangman promised that he would never let Swerve win the championship again. He asks Hangman flat-out if he was behind the Bucks’ interference. Hangman says he considered hitting Moxley at Dynamite, but if he was going to screw Swerve, he would have done it himself. Swerve calls bullshit. Will Ospreay then comes out. He says that he looks up to Swerve, but he’s wrong about Hangman. He says he could tell on Sunday that Hangman cares about AEW, just like he knew that Swerve cared after their match at last year’s Forbidden Door. He says AEW is on the upswing, but Swerve needs to put his ego aside, because neither Swerve nor Ospreay will be the guy to get the championship back, Hangman will. He says they all need to work together, and Swerve slaps the mic out of his hand. Swerve yells that he’ll never work with Hangman, then walks off. Hangman says he’ll never work with Swerve, then also walks off.
They show a recap of Anarchy in the Arena, before the Death Riders pull up.
