Here’s a neck surgery update from Kevin Owens: “Hey guys. So I haven’t been around in a little while and I know a lot of people are wondering what’s going on with my neck and the neck surgery and all that stuff so I figured I’d take today to update you all. So, first, we don’t have a surgery date yet. I have not had surgery yet. Despite reports that are contrary. We’re still gonna try and figure out what the best way to go about it all is, exactly what needs to be done. So we’re kind of figuring that out still. So, there’s a lot of uncertainty but hopefully in the next few weeks, we get clarity and we do the surgery and then we go from there. I don’t know what’s happening with my neck. So, we’ll figure it out.”

In this interview MVP reveals he offered to pay WWE’s weed fines in advance: “When the wellness policy started at WWE, initially, they only tested for steroids and hard drugs; they didn’t test for cannabis. Then, as I recall, all the pill heads started complaining, ‘These other guys get to smoke weed.’ They added cannabis, but it wasn’t a suspension; it was just a $1000 Fine. At that point, I was on the rocket ship, I was making ridiculous money, especially for me at that time. I said, ‘If they test us once a month and the fine is $ 1,000, that’s $ 12,000 a year.’ I went to John Laurinaitis and said, ‘Can I just give you a $12,000 check for the year? I’m gonna smoke.’ Eventually, they bumped the fine up to $2500. It was me and three other guys, I won’t bring their names up, but we would check to see who is in first place. Finally, after a couple of $2,500 fines, plus the numerous $1,000 fines. I could have bought a new car for these fines for weed. I finally stopped smoking for a while.”

John Cena may be working as a heel on TV these days, but off TV he’s still got a sense of humor. Cena autographed the famous “If Cena Wins We Riot” sign from ECW One Night Stand 2006 with “I lost so we’re good.”

Matt Jackson (Young Bucks) compares New Japan to AEW: “NJPW has always been most known for its strong style, hard hitting wrestling matches. If you’re a talent and you’re backstage, expect to wrestle that night. AEW could be different. You might be needed for a week, only to do a quick pre-taped promo to progress a story or show a character beat. And in AEW, it’s an all you can eat buffet of different styles, and it’s all condensed into a quick two hour television show with multiple commercial breaks. I guess it’s non-TV vs. TV, which in turn makes the two products feel completely different.”

Kyle Fletcher explains why he wears pink: “I think it was a tweet that I saw, and it was like, ‘Not enough male wrestlers wear pink,’ and that was enough in my brain to go, ‘Oh, my God, I love the color pink.’ No guys wear the color pink. Then, I literally just messaged my gear designer, and I was like, ‘What do you think, triple pink?’ He was like, ‘Yes,’ and then we just started working on it, and by the time it was done, I put out a tweet myself after we’d done designing it and I’d ordered it, I was like, ‘I have just designed my favorite gear of all time. Yeah, it won’t be here for a while, but you’ll know when you see it,’ and that was the gear.”
