Via Facebook Mick Foley reported he had been in a car accident this week: “TOUGH DAY FOR MICK! I have no idea how I am still walking around after this accident. I’m in the hospital now, and I’m sore from my knees to my neck, including a minor concussion.” Having just seen his Dark Side of the Ring episode about Hell in a Cell, I can’t imagine any concussion is minor for him, given the major ones he’s already had in his life. My best wishes to him for a full recovery.
On last night’s episode of NXT, Stephanie Vaquer vacated the North American Title to focus solely on being the NXT Women’s Champion. A new champion will be determined in a six woman ladder match at NXT Stand & Deliver. This ends her North American Title reign at 46 days, defeating Fallon Henley for it at NXT Vengeance Day.
Speaking of Vaquer her ex-boyfriend El Cuatrero is out of prison. He was arrested in March 2023 for attempted femicide, and he’s still facing those charges, but he’s been allowed out since the order of protection against him has now expired.
In this interview Bret Hart says he still watches modern pro wrestling: “I try to watch the pay-per-views. I find, in a lot of wrestlers, and I won’t name anybody, but I find the wrestlers are more actors pretending to be wrestlers today than actual wrestlers. I miss the ruggedness of the characters. Guys like Curt Hennig, myself, Dynamite Kid. That whole era of wrestlers that broke into the business in the late ’70s and early ’80s. We were from the Harley Race, Terry Funk generation, trying to copy them or mimic them. That’s why I think the ’90s was the best era of wrestling. When I watch some of that old ’90s wrestling, it was really good stuff. I find that today’s wrestling is a little bit more about promos and your character on TV and not so much your work rate. I like guys that throwback a little bit more to the work rate. Roman Reigns is a guy that tries really hard to earn the respect of my generation and be more realistic and more credible and believable, not so much an actor.”
The last episode of Collision did a 0.09 and 339,000 viewers. That’s down a bit from when they still had a March Madness lead-in, which got them a 0.22 and 584,000 the week before. (Wrestlenomics)
And speaking of ratings, Netflix announced last week’s Raw did 3.0 million viewers, a slight drop from 3.1 million for the week before that.

John Cena says to expect the unexpected leading up to WrestleMania 41: “I’m going to say that there’s more unpredictability on the way. Here’s the stance I’m going to take on it, and I think hopefully I can put it in terms you can understand: We’re in the middle of a very riveting season of episodic television and you are kindly asking me to give you spoilers, and I can’t do that. What I did really enjoy about your question is you expressed the unpredictability of WWE programming, and I think that’s one strong point of the current state of WWE is its unpredictability in its programming.”
Here’s the newest episode of TNA Xplosion.
