In this interview Swerve Strickland addresses Triple H saying he “doesn’t see color” in pro wrestling: “Since that quote, you’re hearing quotes from Triple H saying he doesn’t see color in press conference so after someone actually calling them out at their press conference, saying, ‘Oh, why is there no African-American talent? You put the Black celebrities in the audience.’ Those Black celebrities, who I know and I’m friends with, they want to see the same people that represent them perform at these shows, and they’re not seeing that. I’m not saying anything brutal or mean or disrespectful to the company. I’m just regurgitating what your fanbase is telling you, that you’re not hearing and giving what they’re giving. So it’s not just me like, ‘Oh, woe is me, I’m bitter.’ I moved on, and I got my money, and I created my own values.”

Speaking of Swerve here’s more of his interview with Vlad TV.

From MLW: “Major League Wrestling (MLW) today announced CMLL’s Star Jr. will participate in the 40-wrestler Battle RIOT match at MLW Battle RIOT VII on Saturday, April 5 at Thunder Studios Arena in greater Los Angeles, CA and presented live on YouTube.”

Pete Dunne will be facing Timothy Thatcher at Bloodsport XIII.

Janel Grant’s legal team is requesting that her lawsuit against WWE, Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis move to the discovery phase, with the defense arguing that moving to discovery right now would be premature. If you’re unfamiliar with the legal mumbo jumbo I’ll make it brief – “discovery” means both sides have the right to depose witnesses and collect documents that pertain to presenting their side of the case.

The WrestleMania 13 match between Bret Hart & Steve Austin is being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. Both men will be in attendance.

Deonna Purrazzo talks about women having hardcore matches: “I definitely don’t think it’s my forte, but there’s a time and place for it. For Thunder Rosa and I, who I’d feuded with all summer long, coming together for the first-ever women’s Texas Bullrope match on national television, that was the time and place for us. We had a no-disqualification match and got the opposite of that. ‘This was boring. There was no blood,’ and it was like, did you not see her run up the table and catapult and dropkick me with a garbage can on my head? What more do you want? You know what I mean? So it’s interesting when you have that take where it’s like, ‘You didn’t give us enough!’ Then women do what Toni and Mariah did, and it’s like, ‘You gave us too much.’ There’s a time and place; we’re telling stories. We’ve been watching Toni and Mariah build to this match at Revolution. That was the time and place for them, and I think that if we’re talking about women’s equality in wrestling and giving us these opportunities, then we need to do something more extreme.”

Here’s the most recent CMLL Martes de Glamour card.

John Cena talks about staying motivated in WWE: “I don’t think my ethos changes regardless of what the hill in front of me is to climb, I think that’s the fun of it… getting into a rhythm of familiarity is sometimes stifling for growth so man there is different hills in front of me every day. There’s one in front of me has its own challenges and I’m just trying to do the best I can to climb the hill in front of me.”
