NEWCASTLE, ENGLAND (October 10, 2026) – BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing, the world’s largest professional bare knuckle boxing organization, made its long-awaited debut in Newcastle, England for BKB 60, bringing another exciting night of fights to the Utilitia Arena Newcastle for the first time ever.
Rolando “Dy Incredible” Dy (7-1, 6 KOs) put on a dominant performance in the main event, as he knocked out former five-time BKB World Champion Scott “The Mute” McHugh (16-6, 6 KOs) to retain the BKB Super Welterweight World Championship. After feeling things out in the opening round, Dy began to dismantle McHugh in the second frame, dropping the Hall of Famer three times within the last minute of the round. McHugh survived and valiantly tried to keep fighting in Round 3, but Dy was just too much to handle. The defending champion secured another successful title defense by scoring one more knockdown in the third round, forcing McHugh’s corner to throw in the towel. After the fight, McHugh announced his retirement from bare knuckle boxing after 22 professional fights.
In the co-main event, David “The Tartan Titan” Winiarski (8-1, 4 KOs) made quick work of Geraint “Magic Man” Goodridge (3-1, 3 KOs), scoring a first-round knockout to strengthen his case for a world title shot. Winiarski came out aggressive from the opening bell, dictating the pace with sharp, fast combinations before landing a perfectly timed jab that sent Goodridge to the canvas for the count. With the emphatic finish, Winiarski put himself first in line to challenge reigning BKB Super Middleweight World Champion “LT Smash” Nelson.
In one of the night’s most entertaining fights, Brian “Fortified” Hyslop (3-1, 1 KO) pulled off a major upset against former Olympian and former IBF World Champion Joseph “JoJo” Diaz (1-1, 1 KO). The two went the distance in a five-round battle, trading heavy blows and knockdowns in an action-packed contest. When the final bell sounded, Hyslop earned the Split Decision victory, securing the biggest win of his career.
International star Adel “Kyokushin” Altamimi (4-0, 4 KOs) survived an early scare to knock out Tom “Tits” Mowbray (3-4, 2 KOs) in the second round. Mowbray appeared to be on his way to an upset after knocking Altamimi down twice in the opening round. Altamimi was able to right the ship however, as he scored two knockdowns of his own in the second round, before landing a brutal uppercut to the body that put Mowbray down for good. After the fight, the still-undefeated Altamimi called for a shot at the BKB Super Welterweight World Championship.
Aaron “El Gringo Mandingo” Ashton (2-3, 2 KOs) rallied from an early knockdown to defeat Mark “The Veteran” O’Neill (4-5, 4 KOs) by TKO in a dramatic heavyweight clash. After getting dropped early in the opening round, Ashton fought back and dropped O’Neill, who managed to beat the count before the bell. However, the 50-year-old O’Neill was unable to continue, prompting the official to stop the contest and award Ashton the victory.
Middleweights Mick “The Baby Silverback” Kelly (3-0, 3 KOs) and Jon “The Iron Man” Telfer (2-2, 2 KOs) battled through four grueling rounds before Kelly secured the TKO victory. A vicious uppercut from Kelly broke Telfer’s jaw, prompting the ringside doctor to stop the contest at the end of the fourth round.
In a super cruiserweight clash, Dec “Big Dog” Spelman (5-0, 4 KOs) needed just under a round to take care of business against Marley “Tank” Churcher (4-6, 3 KOs). Spelman landed a well-placed right hand that put Churcher down and out with seconds left in the first round to keep his undefeated record intact.
Kicking off the main card, Nathan “Conkers” Conroy (2-0, 2 KOs) delivered a stunning upset, knocking out the previously-undefeated Liam “El Toro” Teruel (3-1, 3 KOs) in the first round. Conroy connected on a short right hand that dropped Teruel and rendered him unable to continue, prompting the referee to call the fight at the 1:30 mark of the opening round.
