Tonight, it’s the beginning of Week 2 of the Continental Cup!
Dynamite kicks off with Will Ospreay welcoming everyone to the show. He talks about getting to come back to Arena Mexico last week, but then getting the news that his grandfather had passed. He says he’s carrying on for the same reason he fought a street fight last week: Because he needs to set an example of what AEW needs. He says Kenny wasn’t at the show last week, but he showed up this week, so he wants to talk to him.
Don Callis comes out instead and says that, although both of them weren’t on the first AEW show, he knows they were both watching. He says that Ospreay saw a place he couldn’t wait to wrestle, but Don Callis saw a place he couldn’t wait to exploit. He talks about sitting at the top with Kenny Omega, but then having to put him down. He mentions that that was around the same time he first brought Ospreay into AEW, but now Ospreay is going down the same path. RPG Vice attack, until Kenny Omega makes the save with a pipe. He feigns hitting Ospreay with the pipe, but then says Ospreay has a way with words when he speaks from the heart, but he doesn’t think. He says he tried to warn Ospreay about Don Callis, and he tried to warn him about Jon Moxley. He then says he can’t help Ospreay like this again. Ospreay says he didn’t ask for help and he won’t need it.
Match One: #2 Spot in Casino Gauntlet: MJF vs. Nick Wayne vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey
MJF grabs Justin Roberts by the throat and demands he call him the one true champion.
MJF hits the floor, tells the commentators he’s going to let “those two twinks battle it out”, which they do. MJF tries to intervene midway through, Speedball boots him off the apron, kicks Wayne, misses a suicide dive, Wayne hits Speedball with a suicide dive, rolls him into the ring, Bailey with a boot, top rope moonsault, MJF hits the ring, fakes going for a suicide dive but flips off the audience, Speedball boots him, boots Wayne, goes up top, MJF pulls him down, mounted punches, Wayne joins in, MJF instructs Wayne to hold Bailey up, punches Speedball in the gut, holds Speedball back for Wayne to do the same, celebrates with Wayne, Wayne hits Bailey with a standing Sliced Bread, MJF covers for two, Wayne breaks it up, MJF tells him that getting to be in this match is good enough for Wayne, slaps him, Wayne punches MJF, Wayne and Bailey trade shots, Bailey with a boot, kicks, Wayne with a German, Bailey responds with strikes, MJF tries to catch Bailey with the Heat Seeker, blocked, Bailey with a springboard moonsault to both opponents on the floor, MJF asks Paul Wight on commentary for help, doesn’t get any, Wayne and Bailey tussle on the apron, MJF trips Wayne, chokes Bailey in the ropes, goes up top, Bailey beats him down, suplexes Wayne, top rope shooting star to Wayne for two, everyone trades strikes, Bailey with a spin kick to Wayne, MJF tosses Bailey out of the ring, Salt of the Earth to Wayne for the tapout.

MJF grabs a mic and says he always wins, which is why he’s winning at Wembley. He says no one can stop him, which prompts Andrade’s music. MJF then reveals it to be a ruse. He says both Ospreay and Omega are afraid of him, and praying they don’t have to face MJF down the line.
In a bar, Divine Dominion call Brawling Birds walking stereotypes and say that being unbeaten means nothing when they’ve never faced Divine Dominion.
Mick Foley interviews the Bang Bang Gang. Jay White talks about how there’s no interference, and how David Finlay and Jon Moxley are the two people he most wants revenge against.

After a commercial, Tony Schiavone welcomes Brodido and Hangman Page to the ring. They all talk about how hyped they are to be champions again, but before Hangman can really get started, Swerve’s music hits. Swerve says the bond that brings the new champs together is a history of being victimized by Swerve. He chides Hangman for losing any future opportunity at the AEW World Championship. Hangman says Swerve has no room to talk, because for all the awful things he’s done, he hasn’t actually accomplished anything this year.
The Demand come out (including Lethal Twist). Ricochet asks what Swerve is even doing by himself when it’s a trios championship. He says Toa’s shoulder was up last week. He then tells Swerve to leave, because there are nine guys who hate him. Swerve exits the ring, stares down Ricochet, then puts his hands up and walks off. Before he leaves, he calls Ricochet a bitch. Hangman then challenges Ricochet to take his belts back. Ricochet says that’s a great idea, but they’ll do it on their time.
