Taka Michinoku vs Aguila
Taka and Aguila lock up, Taka locks in a side headlock and Aguila shoots him off and gets a shoulder tackle for his efforts. Aguila comes back and land s a big arm drag and spin kick to send Taka to the floor and lands a big Asai Moonsault to the floor. Taka and Aguila both try to suplex each other and Taka goes for one but Aguila goes over the top. Taka sends Aguila to the floor and lands a big dive to the floor of his own and rolls Aguila back into the ring. Taka whips Aguila into the corner and lands a leaping forearm and then seats him in the corner and goes to the apron and lands a big running kick. Aguila comes back and sends Taka to the floor and lands a big corkscrew dive to the floor on Taka. Taka misses a moonsault back into the ring and Aguila lands one of his own for a near fall. Taka climbs the ropes but Aguila counters and lands a big frankensteiner. Taka goes for the Michinoku Driver but Aguila counters and goes for a frankensteiner but Taka counters with a big powerbomb. Taka climbs the ropes but misses a big moonsault, and Aguila gets a La Magistral Cradle for a near fall. Aguila climbs the ropes but Taka counters with a big dropkick in mid air. Taka hooks Aguila and lands the Michinoku Driver for the win

We go to Gennifer Flowers who is with WWF IC Champion The Rock. Flowers asks the Rock if her were the leader of this country what would he do. Rock says that the term Leader is beneath the Rock he would be the ruler of this country. Flowers asks the Rock how he would handle the homeless situation. Rock says that as long as he still has his palacial palace in South Beach he doesn’t care where those homeless people live. Rock says as long as the homeless pieces of crap kept off his fresh mowed grass everything would be copeasetic. Flowers asks the Rock about the judicial system and he says that 9 times out of 10 he would be a hung jury IF YOU SMELL WHAT I’M COOKING. Flowers asks Rock how he would runi the Whhite House. Rock says that as long as the interns KNEW THEIR DAMN ROLE SHUT THEIR DAMN MOUTHS and didn’t do anything orally… MORALLY WRONG he wouldn’t have to lay the SMACKDOWN in a major way.

Triple H w Chyna vs Owen Hart
Owen wastes no time and takes Triple H down and lands a series of punches. Owen whips Triple H into the corner and lands a big back body drop and the 10 punches in the corner. Owen goes for an Irish whip but Triple H counters and lands a big elbow and kicks Owen to the floor. Chyna tries to take a shot at Owen but Slaughter yanks her back, and then Owen avoids an attack off the apron sending Triple H into the guard rail. Owen whips Triple H into the ropes but this time puts his head down and Triple H catches him with a knee to the face. Triple H sends Owen into the corner and lands a series of punches and kicks. Triple H goes for an Irish whip but gets reversed but catches Owen coming in with a big boot and lands a DDT for a near fall. Triple H goes after the injured ankle of Owen and works it over.
Triple H works over Owen in the corner but Owen fights back and lands a series of shots. Owen sends Triple H into the corner and Triple H tries to get the boot up but Owen slides underneath the ropes and sends Triple H crotch first into the ring post and then lands a missile dropkick for a near fall. Owen whips Triple H into the rope sand lands a big belly to belly suplex for a near fall followed by a spin kick for a near fall. Owen sends Triple H into the corner and catches him with the Enzugiri kick for a near fall. Triple H goes for the Pedigree but Owen counters and goes for the sharpshooter but Triple H kicks him into the corner but Owen falls into the groin of Triple H. Triple H goes for another Pedigree but Owen counters and Triple H goes the sunset flip but Owen rolls through and locks in the sharpshooter but with Chyna’s helps Triple H get to the ropes. Owen goes after Triple H but is stopped by the referee which allows Chyna to throw powder in the eyes of Owen and low blow him. Triple H hooks Owen and lands the Pedigree for the win.

Mixed Tag Team Match
Goldust and Luna vs Marc Mero and Sable
Goldust goes after Mero and lands a series of shots and sends him into the ropes but Mero catches him with a big headscissors and both tag out. Sable chases Luna around the ring but Luna rolls in and tags out. Mero wrenches the arm of Goldust and whips him into the ropes and drops down and Sable catches him with a big kick. Goldust comes back and works over Mero and lands a big flying clotheslines for a near fall. Goldust whips Mero into the ropes and they collide head to head and both men tag out. Sable goes right after Luna and lands a series of shots and even knocks Goldust off the apron with a slap to the face before we once again get a tag out. Mero goes after Goldust and goes for a slingshot splash but Goldust gets the knees up. Mero goes for the TKO but Goldust counters and lands a DDT for a near fall. Goldust goes for the CURTAIN CALL but Mero escapes and lands a MEROSAULT from the top rope.
Mero lands the TKO on Goldust but Luna comes in and jumps on the back of Mero which leads to Sable making the tag. Sable goes for the pin on Goldust and Luna tries a splash off the top rope on Sable but misses and splashes Goldust. Sable hooks Luna and lands a powerbomb for a near fall. Luna comes back and lands a series of shots and chokes Sable over the middle rope but misses a charge. Luna gets Sable in the corner and lands a series of shoulders to the gut. Luna goes for an Irish whip but gets reversed and Sable hooks Luna and lands the TKO for the win.

The Rock w Kama Mark Henry and D’Lo Brown vs Ken Shamrock
Shamrock wastes no time landing a series of shots and sends Rock into the ropes and lands a big kick to the face and clotheslines him to the floor. Rock and Shamrock brawl up the entry way and Shamrock sends Rock into the barricade but has to break the count before he gets counted out of the ring. Rock lands a series of shots and sends Shamrock into the ring apron and rolls him into the ring. Shamrock comes back but is sent to the floor and Rock sends him into the ring steps and rolls Shamrock back into the ring. Rock picks up and slams Shamrock and lands the big elbow drop for a near fall. Shamrock comes back and lands a series of shots and lands a big powerslam and locks in the ankle lock and Rock quickly taps out… BUT WAIT. Shamrock refuses to let the hold go which brings in the other Nation members who take belly to belly suplexes. Shamrock locks it in again and referees and agents come down and get wiped out including Pat Patterson getting a belly to belly suplex. Shamrock locks in the hold again and this time Faarooq comes out and teases getting involved but drops down and walks away. Rock is put on a stretcher as we find out the decision has been reversed.

Dumpster Match for the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Championship
Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie vs the New Age Outlaws-Bad Ass Billy Gunn and Road Dogg Jesse James
All four men brawl at ringside to start and Cactus crushes Road Dogg with a vicious running knee sending him head first into the dumpster. Cactus goes for a dive off the apron but Road Dogg moves and Cactus cannonballs in to the dumpster. Billy sends Funk into the guard rail and the Road Dogg whips Funk into a back drop in to the dumpster from Billy and they close one of the lids. Road Dogg works over Cactus and puts him into the dumpster but Cactus locks both NAO in the mandible claw to escape. Cactus and Chainsaw come back and work over the NAO landing neckbreakers and DDT’s. Cactus lands a big elbow drop on Billy off the apron with weapon in hand. Cactus goes undeath the ring and gets a ladder and sets it up in the ring. Cactus and Billy end up climbing the ladder but Funk gets knocked into it and both men tumble into the dumpster but are both able to escape the dumpster before any lids are shut.NAO hook Funk and powerbomb him into the dumpster and taunt the Boston crowd. Cactus and NAO find their way backstage with NAO beating down Cactus but Cactus comes back and dumps them both on a forklift which is being driven by CHAINSAW CHARLIE who dumps both Billy and Road Dogg into the dumpster to win the match.

Ring announcer Howard Finkel brings out Pete Rose who grabs the microphone. Pete says the last time he was here we kicked your ass. Rose says that Boston can’t win a WORLD SERIES. Rose says that he left tickets for Bill Butner but he couldn’t bend over to pick em up HOW BOUT IT. Lights go out in the Fleetcenter and here comes KANE and Paul Bearer through HELL FIRE IN BRIMSTONE. Kane gets in the ring and grabs Pete Rose and lands a chokeslam and tombstone piledriver on Rose who is stretchered out.

The Undertaker vs Kane w Paul Bearer
Taker and Kane stare down and the Boston crowd goes electric. Taker lands a series of punches sending Kane into the corner. Taker charges and Kane gets the elbow up and tosses Taker into the corner and lands a series of punches and beats down Taker. Taker ducks a series of shots and Kane catches him in tombstone position but instead Kane ties Taker to the Tree of Woe and lands a series of kicks to the head. Kane sends Taker into the corner and lands a series of shots and whips Taker into the neutral corner and lands a big clothesline. Kane hooks Taker and suplexes him on the ropes and lands a big a shot to the back of the head and Taker crashes back into the ring. Kane sends Taker into the ropes and Taker ducks a series of shots and ends up in a sloppy electric chair from Kane who then kicks Taker to the floor. Kane sends Taker into the steel barricade and then uses the steel steps to the back and then sends Taker into the steel steps again and uses the other steps to toss across the back of Taker. Kane whips Taker into the ropes and Taker ducks a shot buy Kane catces him with a chokeslam for a near fall. Kane locks in a chinlock and Taker escapes but Kane takes him down with a big clothesline. Kane locks in another chinlock but Taker gets back to his feet and crotches Kane on the ropes and then knocks him off the apron.
Taker goes for a big dive but Kane counters and sends Taker crashing through the table. Kane rolls Taker into the ring and lands a flying clothesline for a near fall. Taker goes for the Tombstone piledriver but Kane counters and lands one of his own for a near fall. Taker lands a series of punches and lands a big clothesline and a chokeslam. Taker picks up Kane and lands a big Tombstone piledriver for a near fall. Taker lands a big leg drop followed by a 2nd tombstone piledriver but again only scores a near fall. Taker climbs the ropes and lands a flying clothesline and then lands a third tombstone piledriver and finally scores the win.

After the match. Paul Bearer grabs a chair and shoves down the referee and drops the chair in the middle of the ring, but Taker decks him with a big shot. Kane gets the chair and lands a shot to the back of Taker. Kane hooks Taker and lands the Tombstone piledriver and he and Paul Bearer leave the scene and Taker recovers and also leaves.

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Shawn Michaels w Triple H and Chyna
Austin goes after Michaels but Michaels lands some cheap shots and then goes to the floor. Austin gives chase and Michaels rolls back into the rin but Austin dumps him to the floor with a back drop. Austin goes after Michaels but Triple H gets involved and sends Austin into the guard rail, which gets both him and Chyna promptly ejected. Austin and Michaels braw on the floor and up the entry way where Michaels sends Austin into a dumpster before bringing Austin back to the ring. Michaels rolls Austin back into the ring and springs to the top but Austin catches him with a shot to the gut. Austin whips Michaels into the corner and Michaels takes the Flair bump into the corner back first. Austin whips Michaels into the ropes and lands the Stun Gun for a near fall. Austin goes for the Stunner but Michaels escapes but Austin knocks him off the apron into the announce table. Michaels tries to send the knee of Austin into the ring post but Austin kicks him off.
Austin and Michaels brawl behind the time keepers table and Michaels back drops Austin into the crowd and then brings him back to ringside and into the ring. Michaels works over the leg of Austin for a little bit including slamming it into the ring post and locking in a figure four leglock. Austin comes back and slingshots Michaels into the ring post and rolls him up for a near fall. Michaels whips Austin into the ropes and locks in a sleeperhold which ends with the referee getting squashed in the corner. Austin lands a series of punches and takes Michaels from pillar to post and lands a series of kicks in the corner. Austin whips Michaels into the ropes but Michaels ducks underneath and lands a big flying forearm and then climbs the ropes and lands a flying elbow. Michaels goes for SWEET CHIN MUSIC but Austin counters, Austin goes for the STONE COLD STUNNER but Michaels shoves him into the ropes but Austin catches the foot and spins Michaels around and lands the STONE COLD STUNNER and Mike Tyson gets in the ring and fast counts the fall.
Winner and NEW World Wrestling Federation Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin
After the match. Mike Tyson and Shawn Michaels go face to face and have words. Michaels goes a punch but Tyson blocks and KO’s Michaes and drapes an Austin 3;16 shirt over a prone Michaels and we end the show with Austin and Tyson celebrationg.
Good show overall. A nice return for LOD 2000 although it doesn’t last as you go through 1998. A nice showcase for Taka Michinoku. A fun mixed tag and a nice showcase of Sable with her getting the fall at the end. A pretty fun Dumpster Match between Cactus/Charlie and NAO although the decision pretty much gets overturned the next night. In my opinion the best Taker/Kane match those two had and they had a lot of them. Capped off by Stone Cold Steve Austin getting the big title win signaling the beginning of a NEW ERA. Thumbs up show here definitely holds up as a Mania and leads you through the next year of WWF.
