Tonight, we see the final 1st-round matches of the Owen Hart Cups! I know I said that last week, but this week it’s actually true! Well, sort of, there’s one 1st-round match left in the women’s tournament, and on the men’s side we’re actually seeing the final 2nd-round match. But also Jon Moxley defending the Continental Championship against Shane Taylor! And more!
Dynamite opens with Tony Schiavone welcoming Tommaso Ciampa to the ring. He starts to ask him about the origin of his issue, but Ciampa interrupts and demands Schiavone repeat what he said on Collision: That he’s better than Jericho. Jericho makes a bald joke, they trash talk each other, Jericho gets the crowd to call Ciampa “Tommy”. He asks why Ciampa hates him so much, Ciampa says everything is a joke to Jericho, he responds that it’s not, and gets in Ciampa’s face and says he’s jealous. They then come to blows until security pulls them apart. Eventually they get free and brawl on the stage, until they’re pulled apart again.
Backstage, Renee tries to get a word with Don Callis and Kevin Knight. Callis tries to interrupt, before Andrade interrupts the interruption. He says he wants the world title, and Kevin Knight needs to go to the back of the line. Knight calls himself the real champ, then walks off.
