Tonight is the first Dynamite since Darby Allin’s monumental world title victory. What will he have to say, what will the former champion MJF have to say? And how will the card for Double or Nothing begin to take shape?
Dynamite opens with MJF hitting the ring. He demands respect from the crowd, and says that last week should be known as the Seattle Screwjob, because he never should have been wrestling that soon after Dynasty. He also complains that he got hit in the nuts, fast-counted, and his shoulders were up. He says Darby could never beat him at 100%, because he’s the most complete wrestler of all time. He reminds everyone of his conquest over Hangman and kicking out of the One-Winged Angel. He demands Darby return the world championship to him. Instead, we get Kevin Knight. Knight calls MJF a little bitch, and says a real champion is always willing to put their title on the line. He reminds MJF that MJF cheated him out of the AEW Championship a few weeks ago. MJF reiterates that he won that match, calls Knight’s TNT Championship cute, and says it fits a “good hand” like Knight. He says Knight has a ceiling below the AEW World Championship, and should know better than to get in the ring while someone like MJF is talking. They stare each other down, and Knight threatens to smack him. Knight says some of the best wrestlers in the world have held the TNT Championship, so of course MJF never has. He challenges him to a match. MJF asks what’s in it for him, but says he might do it if it’s for the TNT Championship, especially because it would hurt Knight’s pride if he lost it. Knight accepts, and proposes they do it right now. MJF calls for a ref.
