Tonight, the spoooooooookiest Dynamite of the year! Or something like that. The Death Riders will be in action, and AEW will kick off the Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament! Elsewhere, a 4-way match will determine the next challenger for Men’s World Champion Hangman Page!

Dynamite begins with… a commercial break? Nope, turns out there’s just something wrong with my feed. Going to have to find another source.

Orange Cassidy grabs a bag full of candy and tosses it to the crowd.

Backstage, Hook acknowledges being the underdog in the main event tonight, but says that’s how he wants it. He says he’ll do his best to win, but he’ll also be doing his best to make sure Samoa Joe doesn’t, and implies that he already knew Joe was a bad guy before he showed the world.

Elsewhere backstage, Renee asks Don Callis if he hopes to smooth things over in the Don Callis Family summit tonight. He says things are fine, then calls the Young Bucks over and says the invitation is still there for them to join the Family. He says he doesn’t need an answer yet, then shows them, as a gesture, that he got them their old entrance back for one week, except their big screen video has Don Callis introducing them splayed across the middle of it. Also, there are three people in costume backstage: A cow, a man in a black body suit, and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. That last one seems a bit familiar.

Match Two: #1 Contender’s Match: The Young Bucks vs. FTR vs. Jet Speed vs. Jurassic Express

Winners: FTR

Either I missed a bunch of tags or they just went completely off the rails there.

After a commercial, the Don Callis Family hit the ring. There are tables and chairs set up for everyone, plus somehting on an easel under a sheet. Takeshita is not there, but there’s an empty seat for him. Callis welcomes everyone to the Summit, says there have been a lot of questions, then hands it over to Rocky. Rocky says the first question is “Who is the Don Callis Family?” Rocky says they’re the largest and most powerful faction in wrestling, then explains that not everyone could be there, as some are injured, and Takeshita had travel issues. Then he unveils what’s under the sheet: An oil painting of the entire Family, shirtless. Except Andrade and Wardlow. Josh Alexander says the second question is what the Don Callis Family is all about. They then show a video package that says they’re after power. Fletcher says the third question is why the Don Callis Family does what they do? He reveals that all members have to swear an oath to keep the Family’s secrets and follow the “laws” of the family, including helping fellow members. Before he can finish, Takeshita comes out. Okada and Takeshita get in each other’s faces, Callis intervenes by saying Takeshita is the alpha, but it’s also a whole family of alphas, which will create some tension, and that’s a good thing, but they’re still a family. He says the final question is how the Don Callis Family succeeds. He says they succeed by listening to him. He says Takeshita was the first member of the Family, but he can decide to remove him from the Family, so he needs him to shake Okada’s hand. Takeshita reluctantly offers a hand, but Okada flips him off instead. The rest of the Family get between them to prevent a fight. Callis says he can see there’s still work to do, so instead of a handshake, he’s putting them in a tag match on Collision as partners.

Backstage, Kris Statlander says she’ll be there ringside at Collision to watch Mone defend the TBS Championship. She says she also knows they’re both here tonight, so if Mone wants to say something to her face, she can come find her.

Match Result: Double Countout

Shafir hits Aubrey with a forearm, Claudio Castagnoli tackles O’Reilly, double team beatdown alongside Mox, Roderick Strong runs in and brawls with Claudio, hits him with a high angle back suplex, Yuta and Garcia attack Strong, Darby hits the ring with Cassidy and Briscoe to chase them off. Darby grabs the mic and says the Death Riders say everyone hasn’t suffered enough, but it’s the Death Riders who haven’t suffered enough. Then he passes it to Briscoe, who says the Death Riders always run when things get tough. He says they’ve come up with a solution, then lets Cassidy say it. Cassidy declines saying it, until Briscoe sticks the mic in his hands. Cassidy reluctantly answers: “Blood and Guts”.

After a commercial, Mercedes Mone and Kris Statlander are brawling backstage. They make their way to the arena, then into the ring, Athena pulls Stat to the floor, rolls her into the ring, Mone hits a Back Stabber, Athena hits an O-Face, Mone locks in the Statement Maker until Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron make the save. The commentators mention the strange history between Willow and Stat, and Willow doesn’t actually interact directly with Stat, but otherwise doesn’t seem to mixed up about it.

Winners: Sisters of Sin

As much as I like the team of Hayter and Aminata, the established tag team going over was the right choice.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone asks Penelope Ford about the injury she’s sustained. She says she’s out indefinitely. Schiavone asks Bayne what this means for the tournament. She says their partnership is still on, but her dominance began long before they ever met, and now any woman she deems worthy has a chance to make history. Marina Shafir walks in, Mox observes, and they fist bump on it.

Winner: Samoa Joe

The Opps come to celebrate with Joe.

Tony Schiavone hits the ring and congratulates Joe on earning another shot and says the contract signing will be right now. The costumed men from before come out, only there’s now a chicken, a minotaur, and a dude in what I can only describe as a meat-patterned ghost sheet? Schiavone hands the contract to Joe. Joe says that he wants to ensure a safe environment. The other Opps then take out the costumed men, leaving Stay Puft for last, and unmask him to reveal… some dude. Kevin Blackwood maybe? Joe then signs the contract. He grabs another mic and says Hangman isn’t as creative as he used to be, so sorry for the carnage. He says Hangman’s days are numbered. He lays the contract in the middle of the ring, and Schiavone says the match is official. He says this calls for a toast. He toasts to AEW, to Full Gear, and to Hangman Page. EXCEPT IT TURNS OUT TONY SCHIAVONE HAS BEEN REPLACED BY HANGMAN IN DISGUISE! He clears Shibata and Hobbs from the ring, then nails Joe with a Buckshot Lariat and beats him down until he’s pulled off. Dynamite goes off the air this way.
