Tonight’s Dynamite is the last before Forbidden Door, but most importantly comes to you from the greatest nation on Earth: Scotland! Toni Storm will team with Alex Windsor to take on Athena and Mercedes Mone, the #1 Contenders for the tag team championships will be crowned, and most importantly, Scotland!
Triller decided to be fucky, so this recap will be up some time Thursday afternoon!
Dynamite opens with Bryan Danielson joining the commentary table.
Will Ospreay hits the ring for a face-to-face with Jon Moxley. He thanks the crowd for their reception, and says he really needed it. He talks about working the Scottish indies, and going out for sausage rolls at Gregg’s. This gets a “sausage rolls” chant. Then he says no vegan rolls, then immediately apologizes to Bryan Danielson. The vegan sausage roll at Gregg’s is actually on my bucket list.
He says he got bad news last week, and it caught him by surprise because he used to be indestructible. He says he didn’t get cleared for Forbidden Door, but he’s doing it anyway, because it isn’t sanctioned to begin with. He says, because there’s a chance he won’t be able to be Will Ospreay afterward, he’s leaving it all in the ring on Sunday. He says his motivation is revenge, which draws out the Death Riders. They’re about to jump, before Ospreay challenges Mox to do it himself. JetSpeed then hit the ring and brawl with the Death Riders, before Tanahashi comes out to join the fray.
Match One: Death Riders vs. JetSpeed and Tanahashi Hiroshi
Match starts as a wild brawl, then settles down to Mox and Tanahashi. Trading shots, Mox with a face rake, Claudio in, Yuta in, mixed strikes, Tanahashi with a dragon screw, Speedball in, kicks, standing shooting star for two, Claudio in, Shafir pulls Knight off the apron, the ref ejects her, Knight in, dropkick, Shafir refuses to leave so Ospreay comes back out and drags her off, Mox tosses Knight to the floor, then into the barricade, eye gouge, rolls Knight into the ring, Claudio with a chinlock, Mox in, arm wrench in the ropes, rope break, Yuta joins in, Mox with a forearm, clothesline in the corner, Yuta in, knocks him around, Mox in, knocks Knight around some more, Claudio in, knocks Knight around yet again, Knight with a dropkick, Yuta in, Tanahashi in, Tanahashi with mixed strikes, clears the corner, body slam, goes up top, senton for two, brawl erupts, good guys take advantage, Bullet Club War Dogs run out for a distraction, Ospreay comes back out with ostensibly Shafir in a body bag, JetSpeed floor the Dogs with suicide dives, Tanahashi hits High Fly Flow for three.

Brawl erupts after the bell, the Bucks attack Ospreay, start to unzip the body bag, Undisputed Kingdom chase them off, Death Riders go to unzip the bag, Darby Allin emerges from the bag revealing it to be a ruse, then starts beating down the Death Riders. The Opps then rush out and brawl with BCWD, the fight spreads into the crowd, Darby jumps off an entrance way onto all the bad guys.
After a commercial, Adam Copeland hits the ring, followed by Christian Cage. Christian starts to heel on the crowd, before Copeland takes the mic and says he doesn’t have to be that guy anymore, the people love them. He says Christian is an asshole, but sometimes you need an asshole, and Christian is his asshole. Dude, phrasing! Tony Schiavone asks Christian if he’s found himself, and Christian says he did, and found that he doesn’t need to change a thing, he’s perfect just the way he is. He says they aren’t on the same page by a long shot, there’s too much between them, but at this point they’re at least writing in the same book. He says this isn’t a happy reunion, it’s a reunion out of necessity, and that they’ll go after FTR next, but he can’t commit to anything after that. He says this version of Christian will be the best tag team partner Copeland has ever had. Kip Sabian comes out and accuses him of pandering. Nick Wayne comes on the big screen with crutches, and says Copeland broke his foot last week. He says it’s a blessing in disguise for Copeland and Cage that he can’t make it on Sunday, then says it might not be, because he’s always one step ahead.
His replacement is then revealed to be Killswitch! A brawl ensues, and Killswitch chokeslams Copeland, stares down Cage, starts to walk away, but then thinks better of it and chokeslams Cage.
Backstage, Mark Briscoe says he’s come for MJF.
Ricochet starts to cut a promo, before MJF comes in and proposes they team up against a common enemy in Mark Briscoe. Ricochet says normally he delights in MJF’s suffering, but since it’s Briscoe, he’s down.
Match Two: Tag Team Tournament Final: FTR vs. BroDido

In the ring, Bandido hits Dax with a 21-Plex and covers before the ref informs him that the time limit is up. The announcer then announces that it will be a three-way at Forbidden Door.
Hurt Syndicate come out and stare down their opponents.
After a commercial, Hangman Page hits the ring. He says MJF jumped him because that’s how MJF does things. He says it would be a waste of time to call out MJF, because MJF won’t do it. He says the shenanigans will end at Forbidden Door. MJF’s music hits, but no MJF comes out. Tony Schiavone says he’s gotten word that they have a message: MJF has commandeered a camera, and if Hangman leaves the ring before he finishes, something bad is going to happen. MJF then comes across the big screen, reveals that Mark Briscoe is tied up, but he’ll be set free on three conditions, otherwise they’re going to set him on fire. To show they’re serious, they cover Briscoe in gasoline. The first demand is that the title can change hands via DQ, the second is that it can change hands by countout, and the third is that the match is granted without MJF having to use his contract. He asks Hangman for a decision, then Kaun passes him a lighter. He gives Hangman to the count of five, lights the lighter, and Page gives him what he wants at five. As the feed cuts on the big screen, Hangman goes after MJF with a chair.
After a commercial, Hangman blindsides Ricochet with the chair, then demands to know where MJF is. Security pull him off and tell him that MJF has already left, Hangman responds by decking the guard who told him, and leaving.
