MIAMI – July 31, 2025 –COMBATE GLOBAL announced today that it will make its long-awaited return to Mexico with back-to-back events on Thursday, Aug. 28 and Thursday, Sept. 18, respectively, live worldwide on YouTube from Azteca Studios in Mexico City.
Both the August 28 and September 18 event will stream live and free of charge around the world and in both Spanish and English, on COMBATE GLOBAL’s YouTube channel, beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
Both events will also air live on Samsung TV Plus in the U.S.
The first show, ‘Mexico vs. Argentina’, will see a lineup of the best, new fighters from Mexico collide with opponents from rival country, Argentina, over the course of five bouts.
“I am honored and thrilled to return to Mexico City and bring a massive showdown with me – Mexico vs. Argentina is on!”, said COMBATE GLOBAL CEO Campbell McLaren.
In the featherweight (145 pounds) main event, hard-hitting Esteban Sedano (7-1) will face off with Ignacio “El Fino” Famozo (6-2).
The 24-year-old Sedano of Guadalajara, Jal., Mexico is a seasoned striker looking for his third consecutive victory after back-to-back successes on the regional circuit in Mexico.
Famozo, a 25-year-old hybrid-style fighter from Buenos Aires, Argentina, is looking to rebound from a defeat suffered in June in a K-1 kickboxing bout.
In a featured women’s 120-pound catchweight contest, Nicole Geraldo (6-1) will battle Camila Reynoso (6-1).
Geraldo is a 26-year-old native resident of Mexico City, looking for her second consecutive win after earning a unanimous decision over Solangel Vera last November 1.
At just 21 years of age, Reynoso of Buenos Aires has established herself as a force in the women’s field of MMA, earning four of her six professional victories to date by way of (T)KO or submission.
In other action on the ‘Mexico vs. Argentina’ card, knockout artist Brandon “El Prendido” Gonzalez (5-2) will return to COMBATE GLOBAL action to square off with submission expert Pablo Ramos (4-1) at bantamweight (135 pounds).
Gonzalez, 24 years old, hails from Zacatecas, Zac., Mexico and fights out of Tijuana, B.C., Mexico.
The four-time COMBATE GLOBAL veteran is coming off a stunning, first round (4:03) TKO (punches) of José Peñaloza on April 6.
The 23-year-old Ramos of Buenos Aires, meanwhile, has notched all his professional wins by way of submission.
In a women’s strawweight (115 pounds) matchup, Karla “La Duraznito” Torres (5-1) of Guanajuato, Gua., Mexico will do battle with Lucia “Mala Onda” Apdelgarim (4-4) of Buenos Aires.
A lightweight (155 pounds) affair will see Cruz Garcia (3-0) of Guanajuato take on fellow undefeated competitor, Franco Rios (3-0) of La Plata, Argentina.
