Ian’s Dynamite 300 Recap

Tonight, it’s the 300th episode of Dynamite! Ibushi Kota will face long-time rival and Continental Champion Okada Kazuchika, ten days before Okada Kazuchika battles his greatest rival and Ibushi Kota’s greatest rival, friend, and possible significant other Kenny Omega! Mercedes Mone will have her 1000th career match as she defends her TBS Championship against long-time rival Shirakawa Mina, ten days before Mercedes Mone battles her possible-eventual-greatest rival and Shirakawa Mina’s greatest friend and possible significant other Toni Storm! And some other stuff without homoerotic overtones, if we have to, I guess.

Hangman Page comes out to open Dynamite. He says he’s already said plenty, and that he promised he’d win the championship, and he’ll keep that promise with his life. He challenges Moxley to a Texas Death Match. Moxley comes out and says that Hangman has been thriving lately because he’s not had to be at the top of the game, but Moxley has been there for years. He says Hangman doesn’t have what it takes, and this sparks a brawl. Yuta tries to intervene and gets put down, Shafir slaps Hangman repeatedly, but before it can come to anything, Claudio attacks. Claudio and Yuta beat Hangman down, and Claudio hits a Neutralizer. As they’re walking away, Hangman tells Moxley that that wasn’t enough to stop him. Claudio grabs a chair and heads back to the ring, but Samoa Joe steps in his path. Marina Shafir gets back in the ring and goes for a briefcase shot on Hangman. Hangman blocks it and takes the briefcase, then says he won’t return it unless Moxley accepts the challenge for Texas Death. Mox gives it to him. Hangman hands the briefcase back to Shafir, then starts to leave, but then grabs a mic and says Mox is lying when he says Hangman doesn’t have what it takes, but in case he needs a reminder. Then he hits Shafir with a Buckshot Lariat.
