Winners: Hangman Page and Will Ospreay

Don Callis Family go to beat down their opponents after the bell, the good guys mount a comeback, Ospreay elbows Page thinking it’s Josh Alexander, they argue until Ospreay walks off.

Alicia Atout tries to ask Top Flight about their upcoming match with the Hurt Syndicate, but first they yell about MJF, then promise to beat Hurt Syndicate and take the championships. Dustin Rhodes walks in and says people will underestimate them, but that’s just fuel for the fire.

Match Two: Ricochet vs. Zach Gowen

I definitely did not have a Zach Gowen comeback on my bingo card for this year.

Gowen comes out with crutches, then drops them before getting in the ring.

Bell rings, Gowen holds the rope, roll, lockup, Gowen with an arm drag, tries to shoot a leg until Ricochet runs out of the ring, Gowen with a baseball slide, suicide dive, side headlock, slaps Ricochet’s bald head, Ricochet with a toss into the barricade, punch, mounted punch, noogie, rolls Gowen into the ring, facetiously goes for a Figure Four, Gowen catches him with a rollup for two, Ricochet with a lariat, mounted punches, stomp, suplex, goes up top, misses a 450, charges, Gowen tosses him to the floor, gets to the ropes, ducks a leg drop, Ricochet crotches himself, Gowen with a boot from the corner, goes up top, Tornado DDT, reversed into a toss to the corner, Ricochet with a chop, spear, swing kick from the apron, springboard 450 for two, goes up top, shooting star press for two, Vertigo for two, drops to the floor, grabs his pair of scissors, the ref takes them from him, Gowen nails Ricochet with his prosthetic leg for two, goes up top, misses a moonsault, Ricochet with the Spirit Gun for three.

Winner: Ricochet

Man, it was really nostalgic watching Zach Gowen wrestle on TV.

Ricochet hits another Spirit Gun after the bell, running knee, Mark Briscoe makes the save.

Backstage, Renee asks MJF about his attempts to join the Hurt Syndicate. MJF says the landscape has changed since he was champ, and he wants to make it an inevitability that he’ll win it back. Renee asks if he’s thought about what would happen if the Syndicate says no. The Syndicate then walk in and say he has to join them in the ring after their match.

Match Three: AEW World Tag Team Championships: The Hurt Syndicate (c) vs. Top Flight

Lashley comes out in a shirt with a big thumbs down on it.

Top Flight double team Shelton, it still ends up being a back and forth, Top Flight gain control, kick Lashley, Dante goes for a suicide dive to Lashley, caught, Darius with a dive of his own to make it work, kicks to Shelton, Dante with a frog splash for two, Darius in, Lashley tosses Dante into the barricade, Shelton with a t-bone to Darius, Lashley in, tosses Darius into the barricade, then does it again, chokeslam onto the apron, shoulder tackle in the corner, neckbreaker, Shelton in, German, another German, a third for two, throw around, Dante in, springboard, Shelton knocks him off the top rope, rolls him into the ring, running knee lift in the corner, Lashley in, spear, Hurt Lock, Darius tries to run in but Shelton superkicks him, Dante taps.

Winners and STILL AEW World Tag Team Champions: The Hurt Syndicate

Lashley keeps the hold locked in until Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara come out and Dustin demands he release the hold. The Hurt Syndicate ask what they want, they say it’s obvious, but then Cru come out. They tell the ROH Tag Champs to leave, then make their own challenge for Hurt Syndicate. Dustin Rhodes says they’re not cutting the line, then they stare each other down. MVP proposes the two teams face off on Collision for a title shot at Double or Nothing. He then throws it to commercial with the promise that MJF’s answer is coming up.

After the break, MVP summons MJF to the ring. When MJF doesn’t come, MVP sends Shelton after him. Tony Khan stooges that MJF is hiding behind the production table, and Shelton drags MJF to the ring. MVP gives the thumbs up, Shelton gives the thumbs up, Lashley puts his arm around MJF, Shelton looks like he’s gearing up for a superkick, Lashley teases the thumb going in both directions, but then finally gives the thumbs up. MJF gives him a hug, but Lashley drops him because he doesn’t want a hug. MJF keeps celebrating, and MVP announces that the contract signing to induct MJF into the Hurt Syndicate will happen next week.

Match Four: AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Match: Toni Storm (c) vs. AZM vs. Mina Shirakawa vs. Skye Blue

Mina Shirakawa has a new theme song as part of AEW, and I hate it. Well, I don’t hate it, I just hate that it’s not her old theme, because I really liked her old theme.

Mina and AZM tee off while Storm and Blue fight to the floor, the Joshi trade covers for two, both end up on the floor, Mina with a DDT, Storm and Blue enter the ring, Storm with punches, backbreaker, reversed into a hurricanrana, Blue with a knee, tornado DDT, AZM goes for a rollup on Blue, blocked, both women miss kicks, trading forearms, Storm and Mina pull their opponents to the floor, staredown, their opponents come back in, end up eating stereo Thesz Presses with punches, Storm and Mina stare each other down, trade forearms, Mina with a whip, reversed, AZM knees Mina, double whip, Mina fights her way out, rolls Storm up into a Figure Four, DDTing AZM on her way down for good measure, Storm gets to the rope, AZM runs in and tosses Mina around, Mina with a kick to the gut, springboard, then dives on Storm on the floor, AZM kicks Mina from the apron, crossbody to Storm, Blue knocks AZM off the apron, top rope crossbody to all three opponents on the floor, tosses Storm into the apron, tosses Mina into the barricade, tosses AZM into the opposite part of the barricade, Storm boots Blue in the gut, toss into the barricade, Mina tosses Storm into the barricade, AZM boots Mina in the gut and tosses her into the barricade, Blue boots AZM in the gut and tosses her into the barricade, rolls her into the ring, Mina tosses Blue into the barricade, Storm boots Mina, Mina responds with a chop, Blue and AZM are in the ring, Blue tosses AZM into the corner, chop, Storm and Mina are still trading shots on the floor, Blue tosses AZM to the adjacent corner, handspring elbow, suplex, Mina and Storm hit the ring, Storm with a snap suplex to Blue, Mina with a snap suplex to Storm, AZM with a snap suplex to Mina, this continues on for some time until all four women are down, Mina and Storm to their feet and trade suplex attempts, finally Storm hits it, four-way brawl, Storm starts hitting everyone with Germans, then hip attacks in the corner, everyone then beats down Storm, until she rolls to the floor, Mina with a rollup on AZM for two as Blue breaks it up, tosses AZM to the floor, Mina tees off on Blue, Storm runs in and hits Mina with a dropkick, back suplex to AZM, Sky High to Blue, Mina tosses Storm to the apron, boot, hits Blue with a kick, Blue with a superkick, rollup for one, AZM goes to break it up with a top rope double foot stomp but Blue rolls out of the way, goes for Code Blue, reversed into a Destroyer for two as Storm breaks the count, AZM with elbows to Storm, Storm with a boot to the gut, Storm Zero for two as Mina breaks the count, Storm goes for Storm Zero to Mina, blocked with a back body drop, Mina with a discus lariat, Storm with a rollup for two, Mina reverses into a rollup for three.

Winner: Mina Shirakawa

Storm congratulates Shirakawa before the graphic reveals that their match will be at Double or Nothing.

Mercedes Mone runs out and attacks AZM on the apron, locking in the Statement Maker until Jamie Hayter makes the save and locks Mone in the Statement Maker, then calls for Hayterade before security pulls them apart.

They pay tribute to Sabu. Taz gets a little choked up, because of course he does, those two went through a hell of a lot together. There will only ever be one Sabu.

Backstage, MVP and MJF are celebrating the new development before they get into a disagreement about whether MJF should have his lawyer look over the contract. MVP acknowledges it might be the right thing to do.

Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness are in the ring. Tony says Nigel has something on his mind. Nigel starts off by apologizing to Tony Schiavone for what happened on Collision, they says he also needs to apologize to Danny Garcia. Garcia hits the ring. Nigel apologizes for getting Garcia disqualified, and says he’ll never leave the announce table again. Garcia says Nigel has nothing to apologize for. He says he’s fighting FTR with or without him, but he’d be honoured if it was with him.

Stokely Hathaway comes out and says that what Nigel did was reprehensible. Nigel facetiously apologizes, Stokely rejects the apology, and says there will be consequences. He then makes a challenge for a tag match. Nigel says he doesn’t want to do it, because he doesn’t think they can. Danny says he’s watched Nigel overcome the odds for his entire career, and he’s done the same. Stokely then takes a shot at Nigel for having had hepatitus, before FTR attack. Nigel briefly mounts a comeback, before FTR go for a spike piledriver, until Daddy Magic makes the save with a crowbar.

Main Event: AEW World Championship: Steel Cage Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Samoa Joe

Is this the first cage match for the world championship? I think it might be.

Both men looking for a lockup, finally they lock up, break in the corner, Joe with chops, headbutt, trading forearms, Joe with a discus forearm, toss into the cage wall, headbutt, toss into a different section of cage, tackles, running shoulder tackle, chop, trading chops, Joe with headbutts in the corner, boot wash, snapmare, chop to the back, kick, elbow drop for two, Mox with a boot, kick to the back, chop block, elbow drop to the knee, another, leg wrench, drops down on the knee, figure four, reversed, trading strikes, Mox wrenches Joe’s face in the cage wall, kicks, Joe with forearms, whip, reversed, Mox with a lariat, knee choke in the corner on the cage wall, the rest of Death Riders circle the ring, Willow and Powerhouse come out, Joe tosses Mox into the cage wall, trading forearms from a kneeling position, Mox with a bite, back to trading forearms, Joe with a Manhattan Drop, boot, running senton for two, powerbomb for two, STF, transitions to a crossface, Mox makes it to the rope, there’s no DQ but Joe breaks anyway, Mox to the apron, Joe swats him, sets him up top, Muscle Buster, blocked with a bite, Mox leapfrogs, lariat, another, slaps, forearms, Joe with a boot, Mox with a cutter, cover for two, transitions to a cross arm breaker, Joe blocks by keeping his hands clasped, Mox with kicks, locks in the Bulldog Choke, the ref checks if he’s out but his hand stays up on the third attempt, Joe goes for a Samoan Drop, Mox reverses into Paradigm Shift for two, Death Rider, reversed into the Coquina Clutch, Claudio starts climbing the cage, Willow pulls him off, Yuta goes to climb up, Hobbs pulls him off and hits an uranage through the timekeeper’s table, but Joe has already let go of the hold. Someone runs out, I’m pretty sure it’s Gabe Kidd, slides Moxley the briefcase, Mox hits Joe with the briefcase for three.

Winner and NEW AEW World Champion: Jon Moxley

It is indeed Gabe Kidd. Powerhouse Hobbs goes after him, but Claudio hits him with a chair. That doesn’t work, but it does allow Kidd to hit a low blow, allowing Death Riders to beat down the Opps. The Young Bucks then come out. Matthew offers a hand to Mox, but Kenny Omega runs out, takes out Yuta and Claudio on the floor, heads for the ring, Okada comes out and punches him in the gut, rolls Kenny into the ring, the Bucks bring the cage back down with Kenny and Joe inside, Speedball chases Okada backstage, but The Elite and Death Riders beat down Joe and Kenny. Swerve then comes out, scales the cage wall, and leaps on all the bad guys. The Bucks then lift the cage to make their exit with the Death Riders, and also one War Dog even though they’re feuding with The Elite?

Swerve grabs a mic and makes the challenge for Anarchy in the Arena. Dynamite goes off the air with everyone seemingly pretty happy about that.
